Art in the Time of Corona - Eye of the Storm

I went through a hurricane years ago. I was in a tiny house, surrounded by very tall trees, with live power lines dangling way too close.

It was breathtaking and terrifying, watching the storm as it moved overhead. And then came the calm...

In some ways, the slick, heavy, yellow air of the eye was the most frightening part. It portended of doom and dangers to come - and having been through the first part of the storm, there was a little too much knowledge about what to expect.

The air these days feels the same to me, fraught with danger and nervous anticipation about what comes next. And yet, even though there may be uncertainty and dread, I am safe, I have enough, and I can sink into the gratitude and depth of spirit that will carry me through....
